I do not attempt ...Amelia, sorry, I missed this....<br />I do not attempt to mow the 6 acres!!<br />I mow a series of trottoirs... and about 1/4 acre each May to create the giant compost heap... the Maggot... that we grow our pumpkins and other cucurbits in... which in the space of six months, rots down and feeds that area of our double allotment sized potager.<br />Barn Owls require three year old grass for hunting... so the main, mowable meadow is divided into 6 compartments... two of which are mowed each year.<br />And I now have a large ride-on to keep the paths clear... and only use Betsy to recreate paths if the weather hasn't allowed mower use until the grass is too long.Le Pré de la Forgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02396822372095610004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3373240096673970831.post-84745750688127879342017-03-28T18:30:41.580+02:002017-03-28T18:30:41.580+02:00It looks an amazing machine but I it must take som...It looks an amazing machine but I it must take some energy to cut down that amount of grass!
