27 July 2003 - Around the house and meadow


Again for the present this record is lists... but it is dated in the file for the 27th 
[at 13:19 we were between Amboise and Loches with the car 
[1956 Citroën AZC called Gytha] looking like this >>>












But she did look a bit more balanced with us both in her!!]
We were on our way down with the first load of 'stuff' for the house.


So... despite the date shown above from the notebook
I think that it was a page of accumulated records
[ the Jersey Tiger below was photographed on the 29th!]

16 April 2003 - Listing from round the house

This was our first visit to the house after purchase... hence the single day [we were too busy getting used to the area and measuring up, making wild plans, etc.]

  • Hen Harrier [although now we think these records may actually be the Montagues - we tend to see Hen Harriers over by Barrou and along the Claise valley]

  • Stone Curlews nesting in the field opposite.  
  • Montagu's Harrier quartering the field when M.Sallais was turning the hay.
